Contrary to popular belief, Marco Lopez was never a real firefighter. The producers of the show felt his "real" name really fit his character so they used it. Marco currently lives in NV, where he is teaching acting. He has recently been seen in the series "The Watchers" as well as commercials for McDonalds.
